King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima attended the 10th anniversary of the Protestant Church in The Netherlands, in Dutch Protestantse Kerk in Nederland or PKN. The celebration was held in the church Fontein in Nijkerk. The Protestant Church in the Netherlands was founded in 2004 from the union of the Dutch Reformed Church, the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church. With 2,000,000 members and 1600 churches it is the second largest church in the Netherlands behind the Roman Catholic Church.
