King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima attended the opening of the King’s Games 2015 in Leiden. The Games are a nationwide sport day for schools and are part of celebrations marking the king’s 48th birthday on April 27. The day begins with breakfast together, then there is workout, and performed by the students.
More than 5,400 schools are expected to participate in the King’s Games with more than a million children participating. Different schools plan different activities, anything from a run to paying special attention to health.
