Queen Máxima opened the new building for sustainable dairy of CONO cheesemakers in Westbeemster. She was greeted by two adorable flower girls in cow-spotted wellingtons as well as a brightly colored cow with bright orange hoofs. Inside she learned all about the the signature Dutch cheese, the Beemster, a world famous gouda cheese.
Later the queen also opened the Lustrum Beursvloer of the Waaier Foundation where social responsible companies offers volunteer hours, knowledge and material to non-profit organizations at the Alkmaar Stadium
