Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit concluded their county tour on the 3rd and final day by visiting Leknes in the county of Vestvågøy. With fog, but no rain, the royal couple visited a brand new culture centre called ‘Meieriet’ where Crown Prince Haakon officially opened the center by signing a guitar. After listening to the local band ‘Frozen Fire,’ Crown Prince Haakon was persuaded to jump on stage and join in. He grabbed a guitar and joined in playing ‘Smoke on the Water’.

Haakon and Mette-Marit rounded out the day by visiting Lofotr Viking Museum, meeting representatives from Lofotlam, producers of lamb products, met with ‘viking chief’ Terje Bøe and his wife Kjersti Skaufeldt and held a press conference before going to lunch at Lofotlam.
