Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, Duke and Duchess of Värmland traveled by train from Stockholm to Karlstad for their two day visit their duchy. They arrived midday and visited Byamossarna, a nature reserve and the home of Selma Lagerlöf, a late, famous, swedish author, known for books such as “The Wonderful Adventures of Nils”. Sofia said she thinks Selma was a real “power woman”.
Sofia said: “It really means a lot to both of us that you have come here to welcome us, and especially to me, because it is my first duty as a princess. (…) Despite the rain and the cold weather, I appreciate that immensely.”
