Queen’s Polo Cup

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh were at the prize award ceremony for The Queens Cup Polo Final At Guards Polo Club Near Windsor. Dressed in royal blue Angela Kelly, the Queen seemed in good spirits at the event, just one day after celebrating her official birthday.

The monarch has historically attended the Finals Day to present the cup to the winning patron. However, during the presentation Facundo Pieres, the MVP, broke protocol by placing his hand on her back and again on her shoulder. Protocol is that the Queen should not be touched, other than a handshake.
